Curriculum Vitae. Carla Cerqueira is graduated in Social Communication from the University of Minho Portugalhaving worked some time as a journalist. She did a specialization in Communication Sciences - Information and Journalism, from the same institution, and since she is dedicated to research in the field of feminist media studies. Author of several books, book chapters and articles in national and international scientific journals, her research interests include gender, feminisms, intersectionality, feminist and human rights NGOs and media studies. Simultaneously, she participated in diverse international and national conferences some as invited speaker and integrated diverse scientific committees and events organization. She is part of the team of trainers and experts of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality. She has participated as a researcher and consultant in several academic and social funded projects in the area of Gender Equality and Media. She maintains an active involvement with diverse Portuguese non-governmental organizations that work with gender, feminisms and human rights.

Looking into these three works, we perceive both the persistence of the idea of apocalypse in the Brazilian cultural imaginary and the differences between each of these representations.
